Like many people, I had grown tired of hearing the same traditional "Happy Birthday" song every year. No matter where I looked, YouTube was filled with little more than different versions of the same old classic. I wanted something fresh, modern, upbeat and genuinely fun that people would actually look forward to playing at birthday parties instead of simply singing because it's tradition.

The idea first began when I wrote a birthday song for my young grandson. After seeing how much more exciting a personalised birthday song could be, I decided to write a second version that would work for everyone, children, teenagers and adults alike. Rather than making the cake or candles the focus, I wanted the birthday person to feel like the true star of the celebration.
