Chuck A Beat is my unapologetic voice. I don’t just write songs, I tell real stories. Raw, honest, sometimes funny, sometimes brutal, but always drawn from lived experience. Yeah, I’m an older woman, though I can think like a teenage boy if I want to and write from that perspective too. I’ve written songs from my kids’ and nephew’s perspectives, so tell me your story and I will probably end up writing about that too.

Every lyric starts with my pen, shaped by scars, humour, sass, grit and a tongue sharper than knives. When I write, I already hear the beat in my head, the rhythm, the energy, the direction. The song exists before a single instrument is touched.

Even as a child, I was constantly changing the lyrics to other people’s songs in my head, twisting melodies and rewriting lines without even realising I was training myself to become a songwriter. Then in 2024, something finally clicked and instead of rewriting other people’s songs, I started writing my own.

So yeah, I don’t stick to any specific genre which makes my task harder as algorithms like to push artists through one lane, but I won’t bow down to them to be boxed in.

I write, compose and produce every track, then take that vision into the studio, working closely with real singers and musicians to bring it to life exactly as I hear it. Every voice is carefully chosen to match the emotion and attitude of the song.

I play piano, but my real strength lies in building the full sound of a track from the ground up. I work hands-on with musicians and, where needed, use modern digital tools to shape the composition, always under my direction, always serving the song.

With over 300 original songs written, Chuck A Beat is not just a music project, it’s my archive of real life, character, chaos, humour, heartbreak and fearless storytelling.
