"Boomba" was inspired by a uniquely Australian expression. Here in Australia, a "fatty boomba" can refer to an overweight person, but it can also mean a huge breakfast loaded with all the good stuff. One day the phrase "Boomba fatty fatty BOOMBA" randomly popped into my head and I couldn't stop laughing. The more I repeated it, the more it sounded like the chorus of a comedy song waiting to happen.

From that simple phrase, the idea quickly grew into a story about a rock band stumbling into a café after a long night gig, exhausted, hungry, and ready to demolish the biggest breakfast they could find. Every musician knows that strange moment after a show where it's somehow both the end of the night and the beginning of the next day. "Boomba" captures that feeling perfectly, replacing sophistication with bacon, eggs, hash browns, coffee, and complete breakfast destruction.

The Story Behind "Boomba"

At its heart, "Boomba" is a celebration of post gig hunger. The song follows a crew who have survived a massive night out and are now united by a single mission, finding the biggest breakfast possible. The lyrics turn a simple morning feed into an epic event, treating bacon and eggs with the same importance most songs reserve for love, heartbreak, or world changing moments.
