The idea that people can drift away physically while still occupying space in your memories. They move on with their lives, but part of them remains behind. In many ways the song is saying, \"Go wherever you want. Live your life. Towards the end the song launches into an extended guitar section that runs for approximately one minute and fifteen seconds, packed with powerful riffs, soaring melodies and the kind of rock energy that makes you want to turn the volume up even further.
