I grew tired of constantly hearing people tear down their ex-partners, forgetting that once upon a time, that person was their whole world.

The Intent: I wanted to write a ballad that honours the honest, pure love that existed, even when the relationship itself had to end. The vast majority of relationships don't end in a dramatic, bag-your-ex situation, they end because of life, timing, or simply drifting apart. The song is a tribute to the idea that if you genuinely loved someone, that love remains timeless, and it deserves respect, not scorn.

The Music & Message: This track is designed to be the soundtrack for that mature, bittersweet goodbye. It fuses heartfelt lyrics with a cinematic pop-rock sound to give that feeling of a big, soaring memory. It's for anyone strong enough to say, "We didn't work out, but I'll always respect the love we had." It hits deep because it cuts through the common narrative straight to the honest, raw truth.

<span style="font-size: 11.0pt; Her performance brought the heartbeat hook to life and helped turn “Ba-Dum” into the fun, infectious dance track I had imagined from the beginning.

Ba-Dum by Chuck A Beat Lyrics

Intro
Ba-dum, ba-dum
a ra ra ra ra ra rum, Ba-dum
hmmm…
Ba-dum, ba-dum
a ra ra ra ra ra ra rum
Ba-dum, ba-dum
Ba-dum
Hmmm…

Chorus
Ba-dum, ba-dum, you feel my rhythm come undone
Ba-dum, we’re here just having fun
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ve only just begun,
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ll stay up to watch the sun (sun)

Verse 1
Lights on my skin,
Feel the bass pull me in,
Every move that I make
Got your heartbeat on the take.

Whisper close in my ear,
Say the words I wanna hear,
’Cause the night’s burnin’ slow,
And your touch starts the show.

Chorus
Ba-dum, ba-dum, you feel my rhythm come undone
Ba-dum, we’re here just having fun
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ve only just begun,
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ll stay up to watch the sun

Verse 2
Seduce me, make me sin,
Do your magic, draw me in,
Feel the shiver on my skin,
C’mon babe, let’s sin, sin, sin. siiiin

Chorus
Ba-dum, ba-dum, you feel my rhythm come undone
Ba-dum, we’re here just having fun
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ve only just begun,
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ll stay up to watch the sun

Bridge
Take me deeper in the sound,
Lift me up, spin me around,
Heart to heartbeat, pound for pound,
Ba-dum… ba-dum… we’re spellbound.
Ba-dum,
ba ra ra ra ra ra rum, Ba-dum
hmmm…
Ba-dum
ba ra ra ra ra ra rum, Ba-dum.
(down, down, down, down, down)

Final Chorus
Ba-dum, ba-dum, you feel my rhythm come undone
Ba-dum, we’re here just having fun,
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ve only just begun,
Ba-dum, ba-dum, we’ll stay up to watch the sun.
Ba-dum, your heartbeat’s on the run
Ba-dum, now rise with me, my one
Ba-dum, the night and I are spun…
Ba-dum, until we chase the sun.

Credits:
Singer: Tatiana Gayan
Instruments: Drums, Bass, Electric Guitar, Synths, Digital FX
Written and Composed: Vivian Collins
Producer: Vivian J Collins
Studio: Moreish Studio Melbourne
Recorded: July 2025
Released: [Release Date]

Single purchase includes all 3 files: • 32-bit WAV (Studio Master) • 24-bit FLAC (Lossless) • MP3 Download

“Ghosts From My Past” was written after a deep late-night conversation with my daughter about childhood memories, emotional scars, and how differently people process pain as adults. I’ve always been someone who moves forward quickly in life without dwelling on the past, even though I remember almost every detail of my life since I was four years old, from tiny moments to old phone numbers from decades ago. One night while talking about her counselling session, my daughter explained that she had started looking back on parts of her childhood differently as an adult. I responded by reminding her that at the time she had loved travelling and living across different countries, but she replied with something that stuck with me deeply: “You can’t measure someone else’s pain, because everybody feels things differently.” That perspective became the inspiration behind Verse 4 of the song.

The Story Behind "Ghosts From My Past"

The song explores the idea that everybody carries ghosts from their past in different ways. Some people hold onto pain for years while others learn to release it and keep moving forward.

Growing up, I experienced daily violence from my father, but I also learned something important at a young age. No matter how much we replay the past in our minds, we can't change it. By the time I was thirteen, I had already realised that dwelling on yesterday wasn't helping me build tomorrow.

Music became my counsellor. While some people talk through their problems, I worked through mine by listening to storytelling songs and losing myself in the stories of others. Music helped me make sense of difficult experiences, process emotions, and eventually move forward.

"Ghosts From My Past" isn't about pretending pain never existed. It's about acknowledging it, learning from it, and refusing to let it define your future. We all carry scars from somewhere, but sooner or later we have to decide whether we're going to keep reliving those moments or finally put them behind us where they belong.

The Music and Vibe

Built around emotional lyrics, reflective storytelling, and a gradual emotional lift, “Ghosts From My Past” blends vulnerability with strength. The track moves between quiet introspection and uplifting release, capturing the feeling of confronting old memories while slowly learning to breathe freely again. The song carries both sadness and hope, reminding listeners that healing doesn’t erase scars, it simply teaches us how to carry them differently.

Finding the right singer for this song proved just as important as writing it. I knew the track needed a gritty, husky voice capable of delivering both vulnerability and emotional release, and that wasn't easy to find. After spending several months searching for the right voice, one of my musicians recommended a vocalist . Although she had plenty of live performance experience, mainly in cover bands, she had stepped away from music to raise her family. The moment I heard her voice, however, I knew the search was over. She brought exactly the raw emotion, strength, and authenticity the song needed, transforming the lyrics into something even more powerful than I had imagined. Since recording "Ghosts From My Past," Totoula has become part of the Chuck A Beat team, with three songs now completed and scheduled for release during July and August 2026.

Ghosts From My Past by Chuck A Beat Lyrics

Intro
Some nights I cried…
Then cried some more
Until I buckled to the floor
Let it all out with a scream and a shout
Then was wondering why?
What was that all about?

Verse 1
Yesterday’s gone, it swept me by
Stressing over it just clouded my mind
Today is here…
Time to stop living in fear

Chorus
Ghosts from my past left their marks
Shadows dancing in the dark
But I set them free, lifted the load
Telling stories that I kept untold
Now I,
Woo ooo, ooo, ooo, woo…
walk the path clearer than before
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh…
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh…

Verse 2
Told my thoughts, to walk one step behind
Stop following me, tryna invade my mind
I’m in control, get outta here now
Every scar’s etched in my past
Every new page will still leave marks

Verse 3
None of us are perfect, we learn every day
Some move slow, some have plenty to say
We’re all just finding our own way
But only we can write the story of our life
Every chapter becomes our past.

Chorus
Ghosts from my past left their marks
Shadows dancing in the dark
But I set them free, lifted the load
Telling stories that I kept untold
Now I,
Woo ooo ooo ooo woo…
walk the path clearer than before
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Bridge
Step by step we move on
Like building a verse in a song
Before you know it, life will pass you by
And you’ll no longer wonder why, why, why

Verse 4
Everyone has a story, they want to portray
But mine’s still important to me
Hear me out even if you don’t agree,
Ready? As we watched model after model walk the catwalk, I realised there really aren't many memorable runway songs that capture the confidence, attitude, glamour, and cheeky swagger of the fashion world. That got me thinking, so I decided to write one myself. The song also draws from my own brief experience in modelling when I was sixteen years old. I appeared in a television commercial for a jeans company, but quickly realised the industry wasn't for me. I never liked being told who I could associate with, what I should eat, how I should look, or how I should behave. Nobody controls me, so I walked away. I had only been seeing this bloke for a few weeks when I went over to his brand-new house to watch DVDs. Yep... DVDs. That should tell you exactly how long ago this was. We were snogging on the couch when the back of my hand accidentally brushed against his manhood. My brain immediately went... hang on... where's the rest of it? We hadn't reached third base yet, but a few minutes later he started guiding me towards the bedroom. I told him not without protection, knowing full well he wouldn't have any because he'd literally moved into the house the day before. He smiled and said he'd jump in the shower first, then we'd drive to the supermarket afterwards. The second that shower turned on, I quietly walked out the front door, jumped in my car and disappeared forever. I never answered another phone call from him. The problem was that writing wedding songs turned out to be far harder than I expected. I've always found it easier to write about real life experiences, struggles, humour, and situations I genuinely relate to. Writing about a subject I don't personally believe in was a completely different challenge. Out of those eight ideas, only three songs were eventually completed, and "Soulmate" was one of them.

The Story Behind "Soulmate"

"Soulmate" captures one of life's most important moments, the walk towards the person you have chosen to spend your future with. It occurred to me that there hadn't been a major international French love song crossing over into the English-speaking world for decades. Since I speak some French, I thought it would be fun to try writing a bilingual love song that blended both languages naturally. By the time I got out of bed the next morning, or more accurately, the next afternoon, the lyrics were already flowing through my head. Sometimes songs take weeks to develop, but this one seemed determined to write itself.

The Story Behind "Love You Mon Chéri"

"Love You Mon Chéri" celebrates simple, uncomplicated love. By combining English and French lyrics, the song captures the romance and elegance often associated with the French language while keeping the message universal and easy to connect with. At its heart, the song is about finding someone who is not only your lover but also your closest friend, the person who stays beside you through every twist and turn that life throws your way.

The Music and Vibe

Built around a warm contemporary pop melody with romantic undertones, "Love You Mon Chéri" was designed to feel uplifting, timeless, and easy to sing along with. The repeated French phrases create a memorable hook while the English lyrics allow listeners everywhere to connect with the story. The result is a light-hearted bilingual love song that blends European charm with modern pop accessibility. Finding the right vocal style for this track proved more challenging than writing the song itself. Because bilingual love songs can easily become cheesy if they're not handled carefully, I spent considerable time searching through my usual music sources and auditioning different singers before finding the right voice. I wanted the performance to feel romantic, sincere, and believable rather than sounding like a cliché love song. Once I found the right vocal approach, everything clicked into place and the song became exactly what I'd imagined when I first wrote it.

Love You Mon Chéri by Chuck A Beat Lyrics

Chorus
Je t’aime, je t’aime
Together till the end
Je t’aime, je t’aime
You’re my best friend
Je t’aime, je t’aime
No reason to pretend
Je t’aime, je t’aime
Through every twist and bend

Verse 1
Avec amour, under moonlight skies
Avec amour, see it in your eyes
Mon chéri, I know you’re the one
Baby, baby, the night’s just begun

Chorus 2
Je t’aime, je t’aime (je t’aime)
Here until the end
Je t’aime, je t’aime
My lover, my friend
Je t’aime, je t’aime
Nothing to defend
Je t’aime, je t’aime
Wherever the road ends

Verse 2
J’adore ton sourire, every time
A little reckless, a little kind
When your eyes look straight through me
That’s exactly where I wanna be

Bridge
Love like ours is hard to find
Only once in a lifetime
Hold me close, don’t let go
Mon chéri, I love you so

Final Chorus
Je t’aime, je t’aime (je t’aime)
Forever till the end
Je t’aime, je t’aime
My lover, my best friend
Je t’aime, je t’aime
I’ll say it again
Je t’aime, je t’aime
Through every twist and bend

Outro
Mon amour, my love
Je t’aime, ah-ah-ah-ahh-ahhh
Je t’aime
[background whispers:] Je t’aime, mmmmmm, Je t’aime, mmmmmmm, Je t’aime

Credits:
Singer: Pascal Laurent
Instruments: Drums, Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Percussion, Synths, Digital FX, Keyboard
Written and Composed: Vivian Collins
Producer: Vivian J Collins
Studio: Moreish Studios, Melbourne, Australia
Recorded: 25 September 2025
Released: 13 January 2026

Single purchase includes all 3 files: • 32-bit WAV (Studio Master) • 24-bit FLAC (Lossless) • MP3 Download

"Catch Me If You Can" was written out of pure frustration one night after YouTube decided to show one of my Shorts to a grand total of eighteen people. The song isn't about judging anyone or telling people how to live their lives. It's a playful reminder that your body has value, your heart deserves respect, and sometimes taking things a little slower can save a whole lot of heartache. Rather than delivering the message as a lecture, I wrapped it inside a cheeky rock-pop story full of humour, exaggerated situations, and plenty of laughs. Then, just when you think the lesson has finally sunk in...the ending flips everything upside down.

The Music and Vibe

"Love Bang" is an upbeat rock-pop track that blends real instruments with modern digital production to create a fun, hybrid energetic sound. Punchy live-style drums, a groovy bass line, driving guitars, bright synths, keyboards, and layered percussion keep the song moving from beginning to end, while Anthea delivers a performance packed with personality, humour, and attitude.
